On December 12, 2012, Pilot Club of Milwaukee members delivered 32 fleece blankets they had made to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, the largest and most advanced EMU in the region. It was a reenactment of what the Pilot members did last year, because they had been told that last year's delivery made a lot of children happy. Children being cared for in this unit often spend weeks in the hospital being observed. The Pilots felt it is difficult enough to be away from home any time of the year, but at holiday time, it could be unbearable. they hope a gift of cuddly warmth might make the hospital stay a bit more comfortable.
