State Rep. Dale Kooyenga (R- Wauwatosa/Brookfield), center, recently received an acrylic molar from the Wisconsin Dental Association recognizing his participation in the WDA’s first Legislative Dental Academy in Madison.  The molar was presented in the State Capitol by, from left, Madison pediatric dentist Dr. Eric te Duits, Marquette University School of Dentistry students Caitlin Miller and Madeline Anfang, Brookfield general dentist Dr. Jim Morgenroth and MUSOD student Murtaza Sajan.  The “Dental 101” seminar drew more than 60 attendees who learned about several key aspects of dentistry in Wisconsin, including the barriers to care many low-income families face and WDA’s “Healthy Choices” approach to ensuring all Wisconsinites have access to the oral health care they need.
