It just goes to prove that a substantial percentage of black folk would vote for ANYONE who runs democrat, whether it's an empty suit, such as Tom Barret, or a communist president with contempt for main street business owners. It's the constituancy of those sold on being downtrodden, not realizing that they are buying brand-name loyalty instead of the product itself.

Well put. I spent 4 of the last days before the election including election day travelling around the northside of milwaukee (my hometown) with a 4'x 8' Walker sign on the side of my van. I engaged a few residents that were willing to talk and they couldn't give me a reason for why they vote democrat or why the would vote for Barrett. I was asked more than once if I was a business owner. (I must be rich to want Walker) What prompted my bold rides thru the inner city was seeing two white guys in a Kia minivan planting Barrett signs on nearly every lawn on Sherman Blvd. This was followed by VOTE WALKER OUT signs the next week.

Why are there two different scales on the map? For deep red, Walker needed to get 70% or more, but for Barrett to get deep blue, only 65% was required. It also looks like one step in the scale was left out for Walker.

Nicely done, PATCH! Thanks for providing this information. I was out of town for the election (but voted before we left), and missed a lot of the details. It's interesting to see how folks voted on a community-by-community basis. Some of the differences are also kind of amazing.

Ditto, StaynConnected. I was also OOT, but voted early, and the dead tree coverage was pretty slim. Patch filled in some valuable and interesting detail.
