Grab and Run Getaway at Mayfair Snags Clothing Worth $5,000

Theft was a quick hit – the perpetrators were in and out of Boston Store in 15 seconds flat.

Two young men made off with about $5,000 worth of shirts and pants from a Mayfair Mall store in a move that was "gone in 15 seconds."

At 3:10 p.m. Feb. 21, two male subjects committed a grab and run theft at Boston Store at Mayfair Mall that netted them around $5,000 worth of clothing at retail value.

Video showed them entering the store, walking about 20 feet to a Ralph Lauren Polo display, grabbing up armloads of merchandise and running out the door.

Timing registered on the video recording showed they had been inside the store from entry to exit for 15 seconds.

A witness outside said they jumped into a waiting car, which he described as an older gold or tan Cadillac.

An employee inside said she had been near the display but didn't see the men enter and only noticed them as they were bolting out with armloads of clothes.

Store staff said the two made off with six pairs of pants, six button-up shirts, 12 rugby shirts and from 20 to 25 polo shirts, placing the total loss between $4,868 and $5,312.50.

Mayfair used to be a nice place to shop...with all the "activity" going on there, I guess it'll be a long time before I darken their doorways again...

Karen, you are so right, I can't imagine the terror shoppers must have felt as these two men ran out the door of the store with armloads of shirts and pants. Scary, scary stuff. We all know that shoplifting hardly ever happens in other shopping areas, and we all have heard stories of how dangerous it is to innocent shoppers nearby -- or was it just the opposite?

Your satire will work until one of these ghetto crackheads sticks an automatic in your left ear on your next trip to Mayfair because he couldn't fence "his" Polo shirts for as much as he needs.

Mayfair and the Tosa PD do a pretty good job of addressing issues at Mayfair. There is no reason to be afraid of shopping at what is the best mall in the metro area.

Riiight. Until this stops happening, THEN you can say they did a "good job" addressing ghetto trash crime.

Sounds like that gang of awesome preppies from Brookfield with a hand-me-down Caddy from Gramps.

I love how all the bleeding heart liberals downplayed the crime that DNB's would help bring to the area.

This is happening at Bayshore almost every day, but the management there is doing it's best to keep it out of the news, for obvious reasons. Same type of suspects, some of our fine upstanding citizens that this country is going broke trying to appease...
