Katy Perry to Campaign with Barack Obama in Milwaukee

Here's how to get tickets to see pop singer perform during campaign event with the president on Saturday.

President Barack Obama is teaming up with pop singer Katy Perry at a campaign stop on Saturday in Milwaukee, his campaign announced late Wednesday.

The president will deliver remarks at what is being described as a "grassroots event" at the Delta Convention Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Perry, a multi-platinum artist, will perform at the event, the campaign said. There's no word yet, however, on whether Perry will wear the "ballot dress" that she donned at an Obama rally in Las Vegas last week.

The event is free and open to the public, but anyone who wishes to attend must RSVP online at Obama's campaign web site.

I am not saying you should or should not put weight into her thoughts, but the above comment essentially says she was stupid for exploring her musical career. It looks like she made a smart decision for herself, whether or not you feel she's shallow. I agree - you shouldn't base your vote off of what Katy Perry says or what anyone else says. You should go and do the research into the candidates and look at what they stand for.

Apparently that's not the Obama campaign's take on it. They'd prefer you look no further than the dress she's wearing when making a decision on which way to vote. At least they're aware that, with the demographic in question, some stimulating visual aids are going to be necessary to get the point across.

FTTroy: I think you are underestimating the Romney supporters. Many are grassroots, we are not all 1% ers...We have the same issues as many democrats, struggling to make ends meet on our paychecks. Wishing we had more take home pay. Hoping we do not have a tax hike that sends us over the cliff. Most of us are concerned about the Debt, and the impact it will have on our kids and our retirement.
We may be different in our orientation and affilliation, but we all agree we have some serious issues to fix before it is too late. Do we not?
We gave this POTUS four years. In the private sector a CFO would not have that luxury, he would be fired.
Time for us to fire Obama, and let someone else take the reins. If he does an equally shitty job as Obama, I will be one of the first to call it as I see it.

Craig - I see your point. I honestly do.

I would tell you that we are seeing progress. I understand it isn't fast enough or comprehensive enough. I agree. We need our leaders to lead and not get stuck in vitriol (both sides, here - both sides are guilty).

I would also assure you Romney/Ryan have absolutely no interest in helping those of us out. They have these crazy whacked out ideals that will slash your and mine way of life to such a degree, I have no idea how we will make it. We will literally fall to developing country status. Maybe I am Chicken Little Sky Falling Guy here, you could accuse me of it, and I would confess to over reacting. I am sure I am to a degree.

I know we disagree on this topic. You have every right to your opinion and to vote a promote whomever you believe in.

While China is building interstates and modern infrastructure, USA is outdated and too broke to upgrade. Any product we make here will be stuck in gridlock on our crappy freeways, China will have cross country smooth sailing on new interstates, which will make them more efficient and harder to compete with. As if pennies per hour wasn't enough.

Pastor who spoke at inauguration believes all white people going to hell, stimulus was ‘genius’

"Racially charged comments made by the Rev. Dr. James Lowery at a “get out the vote” event in Forsyth, Ga., on behalf of the president are making the rounds on Twitter today. According to the Monroe County Reporter, Lowery, who delivered the benediction at President Obama’s inauguration ceremony in 2009, told an audience of voters that level of “hatred and bitterness” coming out of the election had him returning to his views as a young militant that all white people are going to hell.

The Reporter also quoted Lowery as saying, “I don’t know what kind of a n—– wouldn’t vote with a black man running. All that he did with the stimulus was genius. Nobody intelligent would risk this country with Romney.” Contacted by the Daily Caller for comment, Lowery said the line about white people going to hell was clearly a joke, and he didn’t remember making the second statement."

Good job Obama. Teach Walker a few things while you are here:

US Manufacturing Expands At Faster Pace In October

WASHINGTON — WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. manufacturing expanded for the second straight month in October, boosted by growth in new orders and production.

The Institute for Supply Management says its index of factory activity rose last month to 51.7, up from September's reading of 51.5. A reading above 50 indicates expansion.

The ISM is trade group of purchasing managers. Previous surveys showed manufacturing contracted from June through August.

Stocks jumped after the release of the October report, along with another showing consumer confidence surged last month to the highest level in nearly five years. The Dow Jones industrial average, which had already risen about 70 points after the opening bell, was up 139 points in morning trading.

Keep in mind, any numbers released in October will be rolled back in November. (See job creation numbers for September) - put zero stock in these. However Obamacare costing an additional 30% in premiums to Wisconsinites (per an Obama health care adviser), that one actually seems to be accurate.....great work Mr. President, enjoy your remaining months in the White House.

Yeah, but Kid Rock is cool, because he and that D-bag from Creed put out that sex tape of them getting "orally serviced" by a bunch of groupies in a trailer.

I wonder how that even works. Like, were Kid Rock and the Creed guy on opposite sides of that trailer, or was it a little more, you know, "intimate?" Either way, probably not exactly the image that Robo-money wants to be associated with. Or maybe he does? I don't know, I can't keep track of these GOP politicians' weird peccadilloes.

I report, you decide. Did Romney ambassador Kid Rock make a sex tape with the singer from Creed? Yes, he did. Is that something that reflects on Mitt Romney? Only if you insist on making a big deal about the Katy Perry appearance, like so many on this page.

If Obama is somehow defined by Katy Perry, then Romney's defined by Kid Rock's history of bisexual group sex, right? Be consistent...

Obama is part of the 1% crowd. He doesn't hate them. He believes they may need to at least play on the same field as the rest of us.

Considering Romney's 47% Speech, I wouldn't really claim Romney doesn't promote class warefare.

Considering Romney's 3rd move at Bain Capital - the first move was collecting all the consulting fees and the second was giving executive bonuses - was outsourcing all the American jobs out of the country, I wouldn't make the bold claim he doesn't partake in class warfare.

Class Warefare was already declared years ago.

Stop hating on Katy Perry.
