Kleefisch Adds Her Name to Slate of Tosa Rally Speakers

Lieutenant governor joins lineup for Celebrate Walker event.

Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleesfisch has confirmed that she will join the list of high-level Wiscconsin Republicans scheduled to speak Saturday at the Celebrate Walker rally in Wauwtosa's Hart Park.

Kleefisch will share the stage with a long list of prominent Wisconsin conservatives including former Gov. Tommy Thompson, Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald and former U.S. Congressman Mark Neumann, all of whom are running for the U.S. Senate.

The pro-Walker rally was conceived as a small gathering by grass-roots organizers on Facebook and then exploded into a major event as one after another GOP leader got on board.

Kleefisch, the latest to sign on, is also being subjected to a recall election along with Gov. Scott Walker and four Republican state sentators.

"We are thrilled to have Rebecca join us," said Paris Procopis, one of the event organizers. "This gives us the opportunity to thank her and show that we are all still solidly behind her and Scott."

"The very fact that she is coming to our grass roots event shows us that not only do we stand with Rebecca, it shows that she also stands with us."

The event is from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Rotary Performance Pavilion in Hart Park at North 70th and West Chestnut streets.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. To late Becca, from here on in its all down hill. Just think of this as Custards last stand.

Bucky, Custard will be safe in this weather. You'd have a point if this rally took place in July.

We won't have a song circle, red balloons OR custard (that kills me!) Nothing to interest you, Bucky.

Wait, we don't have garbage pan drummers or idiotic chants? Nobody to raise their arms when a cultlike speaker says something they agree with? .... No "hey hey ho hoers"? No crazed, foaming at the mouth teachers? What are we going to do to entertain ourselves? Who's going to lead us in a candle lit Kum Bah Yah?

Well, I guess we'll just have to settle for common sense people who have saved Wisconsin from becoming California or Illinois. That is good enough for me.
