The Wauwatosa School Board is considering adopting the Sandy Hook Promise:

I Promise to honor the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  I Promise to do everything I can to encourage and support common sense solutions that make my community and our country safer from similar acts of violence.

Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) is a non-profit created by community members of Newtown, Connecticut in response to the shooting, which killed 20 children, four teachers and two administrators.

Check out the moving promise that a number of Newtown High School students made in a video.

The board will consider adopting the resolution on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Administration Building.
