Thieves Just Pushed Filled Carts Out the Front Door, Police Say

Two Milwaukee men did not escape forever though, and have since been charged in Milwaukee County Court with theft.

Two Milwaukee men were charged with three separate and straightforward retail thefts during March from Target and Walmart on North 124th Street.

According to a criminal complaint, Peter M. Brown, 48, and Rufus L Hollingsworth Jr., 46, simply filled carts with items at both stores — at Target on March 9 and 16 and at Walmart on March 16 — and pushed them through the front door “without making any attempt to pay for the items.”

Items included a microwave oven, a comforter and toaster, and the total value in all three thefts was estimated to be about $900.
