The Tosa Green Summit is organized by local Wauwatosa residents who care about sustainability and want people to be aware of and learn from organizations that are focused on improving the environment.
Jeff Roznowski, alderman in the 6th District and local community activist, spearheaded the effort to launch this event in 2009.
"Wauwatosa is a community known for its green space. I would like it to also be recognized as a sustainable community," Roznowski said. "Our diverse lineup of exhibitors will provide a variety of ways that we can become sustainable, as individuals and as a city.
"The documentary ‘Bag It’ will make you consider if your life is too plastic and offer ideas on how to change your behavior."
