Two Milwaukee teenagers are facing felony charges after they allegedly robbed a student who was leaving Wauwatosa's alternative high school in April.

Andrae Terrell Randle-Virgil II, 19, and Braxton Lamar Spivey, 18, were each charged Tuesday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of robbery with use of force. If convicted, they each face up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

At 11:05 a.m. April 5, the victim was leaving Fisher Alternative School, 12121 W. North Ave., when he saw the two suspects, who were known to him. As he neared his car, he said, one of them put him in a chokehold and threw him to the ground.

Randle-Virgil then grabbed a $500 gold chain off of the victim and began to go through his pockets. They then ran off with the chain.

Police interviewed Spivey on April 27 and he told investigators Randle-Virgil was the one who threw the victim to the ground and robbed him. He said all he did was hold the victim’s shoulders down while Randle-Virgil went through his pockets.

Randle-Virgil was interviewed by officers on May 2, and he said it was Spivey’s idea to rob the victim.

Both men are currently out of custody, and warrants have been issued for their arrest.
