PHOTO GALLERY: Walker Rally Draws Supporters, Some Protesters
Some people drove from hours away to attend Saturday's Celebrate Walker event in Wauwatosa.
A crowd estimated at about 3,000 turned out on a frigid Saturday to support Republican Gov. Scott Walker at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.

Did the Koch brothers bus people in? Recall Walker...Liar.

No, I'm afraid the Koch brothers did not bus people in like the unions did when the left was busing them into Madison to protest. Sorry!

Just wondering----did they celebrate the 50,000 jobs Wisconsin lost since july??
Tammy Christian

No reason to celebrate jobs lost in Wisconsin. Maybe you should complain to Obama about that. But, we do celebrate the "new" jobs Governor Walker has brought to Wisconsin. Thank you for asking though!

Wait, wait, is that one of the GOP rallies where half the people are bought and paid for? Or perhaps it one of those where they actually have free buses to bring in people from other states in. We still remember those. Fool us once shame on you GOP, but can't fool us twice with that gimmick.
Tammy Christian

No, none attending were bought and paid for. Buses were scheduled from different areas in Wisconsin and although I drove there myself, I believe people paid to ride the buses. Again, you must be remembering the protest in Madison where the unions bused people in from other states.

Truly impressive. They filled every seat in the Hart Park bandshell, and the surrounding streets were parked in for at least a block and a half in every direction. Lots of out-of-towners from the rural areas who don't understand the basic reasons why you shouldn't stumble out into the crosswalk on a busy urban street without checking for traffic first. They had every Reppo dignitary in the state of Wisconsin... and got maybe 700 people to turn out. It's time for Walker to begin praying for a miracle. Might I suggest St. Barbara, the patron saint of lost causes?

LOL once again! You must not have been there along with the 40 other protesters. LOL! You must have missed the one from the "left" who took off his shirt and stood on the railroad tracks and had to be told by the police to stop standing on the railroad tracks because it was dangerous. Silly left! :):)

Again, take your complaint for the economy to Obama. You need to be thanking Governor Walker for the new jobs he has brought to Wisconsin.

People who can't read the LARGE print on the front page don't comprehend that the private sector has lost over 7,000 jobs over the last six months. Illinois is thanking $cott Walker, for sending jobs there. Not hard for a reasonable person to figure out

Scott Walker, is close to being history. His subversive style of politics, will not be successful, with the voters. We are tired of the GOP/TP and their obstructionist form of government. Our country needs to go forward, out of this recession. We need to get behind President Obama and Democrats, all over, to take back the House of Representatives and strengthen the Senate. The party of no has to go.

"We are red, they are blue, and when we get done they're gonna be black and blue!" he roared, and was met with a roar in return." The vitriol, anger, and outright hatred the GOP elite has managed to incite in their radical wing-nut base is scary to say the least... and, to me, borders on being subversive. They do not seek to unite... they seek to divide. They do not promote peace... they promote war. They do not seek to govern... they seek to rule. They do not seek democracy... they prefer plutocracy. Right on my friend!
And if they want to show pictures of the protestors, then why not be wholly representative and show the pictures of how they left their garbage in the snow banks around the park instead of cleaning up after themselves the way those actually attending Celebrate Walker did!
Those protestors were nothing but dirty and disrespectful of others rights, pure and simple!

Drive to 25: You obviously have not been paying any attention. This rally started as a social media discussion among friends. An idea was born. At first, it was expected to be about 100 people, and it went from there. No, we don't pay, and we don't bus people. Had we bussed people in, we would have been able to bring all the residents of Wisconsin that did not sign a recall petition. But this is a true grassroots event and based solely on donations. And most people who attended this are people who work and do not have time to "protest"...they made time to rally support, on their time off work. And they cleaned up after themselves, did not deface a public building, did not have red heart balloons, and the real numbers will show soon enough. At the polls.

@Tammy It was a great grassroots event thanks for answering Drive to 25 with the facts but I'm sure that someone like him (her) won't listen that's why he (she) hides behind a false name so they don't have to defend their views face to face

Another B.M. moment. If you don't like the law , just change it. Worked for $cott Walker, until he is kicked out. The budget will stay the same but collective bargaining (a non-fiscal item) will return.

Lead Poisoning Victims Under Assault by Gov. Walker and Lockstep Republicans
Wednesday, 18 January 2012 20:46
Children victims of lead paintMadison -- Gov. Scott Walker and his lockstep republican minions have decided to expedite the assault on children who have been poisoned by lead paint. On exactly twenty-four hours notice, the State Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a hearing for Thursday, Jan. 19, only on SB-373, the bill that would overturn a State Supreme Court decision allowing the victims to sue paint manufacturers.
Yes, you read that right, no longer will victims be able to recoup damages for injuries sustained from exposure to paint products containing lead. The Uppity Wisconsin Blog reported this:
The bill was just introduced on Jan. 10, the day after things went badly for the poison merchants in a federal appeals court hearing in Chicago. Within hours of the hearing, State Sen. Glenn Grothman ordered the bill jacketed and introduced it the next day.

Why are the Leftists so afraid of using their real names? I was at the Walker Rally and I am not afraid to use my name, nor was I afraid to walk through the 40-50 protesters to get to the "Classic" Liberals, Libertarians, Republicans, Constitutionalists, etc. Scott Walker is doing the right thing in Wisconsin by ending the corruption between the Democratic Party and Public Sector Unions as he promised! Thank you, Scott Walker, and Staff!!!

Another B.M. moment. Corruption between those two groups, do you even know what that word means. Here is an example, Company K says to $cott Walker, "we'll give you money towards your campaign and retirement fund and if elected you will give us tax breaks and millions of taxpayer dollars, and while you are at it crush those unions so we can pay people less and take away benefits" That is what $cotty did, even though those were not his campaign promises. That is corruption

@ Rudy Spark-plug... people like you will never know the truth.
Tax payers were cut out of the process by Governor Jim Doyle and his unholy alliance with the public sector unions. I'll spell it out for you Sparky... Jimbozo Doylet gave public sector unions increases in wages and benefits far beyond any previous administration, in return, unions then greatly contributed to the campaigns of Demorats who then continued to increase public sector unions pay and benefits beyond what the market could bear and greater than other states. Taxpayers finally had enough. Jimbozo Doylet knew he couldn't win another term and he quit. Scott Walker won in a fair and free election where he clearly stated what he would do for Wisconsin tax payers and he has kept his word. You should move to Europe where your lazy but will be happy...The End.

Rudy Spark, Tammy Christian is her name, not her religion. After reading all of her posts, I'd say she is a professional, and very well could be a true Christian. She took all the BS from punks like you and she kept her composure. If you knew what a Christian was, you wouldn't reject truth as you do. Thank you Brian Myers. I get a kick out of people like Rudy that make remarks about my real name because it shows me that the truth has gotten under their skin. His thought pattern is that I must not be a Christian because if I was I would be supporting his narcissistic personality. He's unable to think beyond himself so he resorts to little temper tantrums. It's actually very sad.

At Morninmist above. Yikes, you are confused. Try READING SB 373. You can still sue a lead paint mfg or dist. Except now you can't sue someone for just being in the industry, the product causing the damage actually had to come from them. Make sense doesn't it. See SB 373 info below:
Senate Bill 373
4895.046 (1g)LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS AND INTENT. The legislature finds that it is in the public interest to clarify product liability law, generally, and the application of the risk contribution theory of liability first announced by the Wisconsin Supreme Court in Collins v. Eli Lilly Company, 116 Wis. 2d 166 (1984), specifically, in order to return tort law to its historical, common law roots. This return both protects the rights of citizens to pursue legitimate and timely claims of injury resulting from defective products, and assures that businesses may conduct activities in this state without fear of being sued for indefinite claims of harm from products which businesses may never have manufactured, distributed, sold, or promoted, or which were made and sold decades ago.

drip drip drip. Walker's Lies are oozing up out of his sewer!
" So a few weeks ago, a letter written by Administration Secretary, Mike Huebsch to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, surfaced and revealed in his own words that under GAAP guidelines, Wisconsin does indeed have budget deficit. An estimated $3 billion deficit.
Why did Huesch reveal such a damaging bit of information? Because Scott Walker wants to weasel out of complying with Obamacare and continue kicking poor people off of health care - 53,000 people.
The only states that can receive an exception from HHS are those that have a budget deficit and happy to take advantage of a loophole to fuck over more people in Wisconsin, Huebsch confirmed what we have known all along:
SCOTT WALKER DID NOT BALANCE THE BUDGET AND HE RAISED TAXES."
