Wauwatosa Artist Transforming Sandy Hook Victim Pictures Into Paintings

A Wauwatosa artist is looking into the beauty of the Sandy Hook Elementary victims and transforming their pictures into painted portraits.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Jim Stingl wrote a story about the Joanne Bowring's efforts to look at this tragedy in a different light by attempting to ease the pain of their families.
She plans to paint all 20 portraits and hopes to send them to the families.
Communities around the nation have joined in supporting the Newtown community.
Just last month the Wauwatosa School District adopted the resolution, the Sandy Hook Promise, that honors the 26 lives lost in the tragic shootings.
