Wauwatosa Teen Earns Kohl's Cares Award

Ray Rees is one of 82 Wisconsin youth honored for volunteer work in their communities.

 

Sixteen-year-old Ray Rees of Wauwatosa is one of 82 Wisconsin youth presented with awards from the Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program for volunteerism in the community.

Each Wisconsin winner receives a $50 Kohl's gift card and a certificate recognizing the achievement. They also are eligible for one of more than 200 regional post-secondary scholarships of $1,000 each; those regional winners are then candidates for one of 10 national $10,000 scholarships.

The Menomonee Falls-based department store honors more than 2,200 youth around the country through the program.
