Whose 15 Minutes of Fame Should Expire in 2013?
If you want them to just go away quietly, we probably have listed them in our poll. Vote or add a name we haven't thought of in the comments section.
Pop culture fame can arrive in a flash. For some, it lasts decades; others see it expire in Andy Warhol’s proverbial 15 minutes.
Many of the iconic names in pop culture from 2012 will be long forgotten by the end of 2013. Who are you most rooting for to land in the “Where Are The Now?” file?
You can’t watch a commercial during a football game this season without an appearance by Pitbull, whose fame appears entirely attached to appearing in commercials during NFL games. That still exceeds the fame of Kim Kardashian, which appears tied to … well … something.
The contest for Biggest Earworm of 2012 is almost a dead heat between “Call Me Maybe” from Carly Rae Jepsen and “Gangam Style” from Psy.
Last on our list is Honey Boo Boo, the “Toddlers and Tiaras” star.
Vote in our poll, and add any choices we’ve missed in the comments.

Pitbull and KK will be with us for 2013 and beyond. Carly Rae Jepsen has about 2 minutes left (that may be generous), Psy has about 3. Honey Boo Boo is on her last 6 or 7.

I am so sick of hearing about Honey Boo Boo! She is a spoiled brat but her mother is even more annoying. Can't see using your child like this. And as far as Kim Kardashian goes, I'm tired of hearing about her too. She's not even divorced & now pregnant with someone elses baby? Forget her.

I like Psy, Oppa Gangnam Style is very tongue-in-cheek. I think 2013 will be the break-out year for the K-Pop invasion. American pop is very tired, it must be given how fans fall all over One Direction, who are certainly not the most talented singers ever to come out of Great Britain. America is definitely ready for the demented, high energy style of Big Bang, 2NE1, Psy, Super Junior, XO, Girls Generation, etc.
As to who should go off that list, I'd beg for Honey Boo Boo to go (now that I know who she is). Before she becomes completely immersed in the international consciousness of being the typical American child/family.

Actually, it's GangNam style, but he's the one I voted off the stage after learning of his words a few years ago, which were: " Kill those bleeping yankees have been torturing on Iraqi captive. Kill their daughters, mother daughters-in-law and brothers."
Now that he has made a fortune - thanks, in large measure to us Yanks - he has seen fit to apologize, hoping to parley his success into greater wealth. Not from this Yank (though, to be honest, I really love that stupid video!).

Here's the full story, an anti-war song written by the Korean group N.E.X.T. was performed in 2004 by anti-Iraq protesters including Psy. He has apologized: http://www.examiner.com/article/psy-korean-rapper-apologizes-for-singing-about-killing-american-soldiers
For the record, I was also against the invasion of Iraq as it was abundantly clear that the proffered excuses were myths: 1) Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11 (False); 2) Saddam Hussein was amassing weapons of mass destruction (False); 3) Saddam Hussein was in league with al Quaida (False). 100,000 civilians dead and maimed as a result. The death tolls were sanitized in this country but were reported by international agencies to the rest of the world. Obviously suggesting that U.S. soldiers and/or families should be tortured/killed is highly inappropriate but should be interpreted as an expression of fury against the actions of the Bush administration, against a populace that was already suffering because a recent past war and the actions of its leader. The Bush administration had no interest in following the advice of the international community and lost a lot of respect as a result. (The Abu Ghraib torture and abuse of prisoners by U.S. soldiers didn't help either.)

I'm sure I agree with you, Nuitari, though I've no clue as regards 15:01. One thing is certain though. Bren is a spoon-fed lib to the core. No doubt, she voted for the guy who is restoring the original wonderful feelings all those places had for US, until that doggone Bush wrecked everything, including the first 4 years of the obamao administration. I'm confident the Bush error mistakes will still be costing us these next 4 years, as we plummet to depths (and debt!) never before imagined.

Honey Boo Boo's Mother is an issue for me, can't guilt the child. Nope.I see YEARS of therapy in that kids future.
Octomom - let's hope there is nothing more crazy she can do this year. *gag*
ALL reality TV "stars" - how these people gained celebrity status is beyond me. News Flash!! Producers mettle daily with taping, it's not really reality...it's semi scripted. Flipping thru channels and seeing that junk makes me miss the days when TV banned married couples from being seen in the same bed for cripes sake. Good grief - I sound like my mother.

Bucky, you were obviously under your rock since his re-election. The DA has NOTHING. It was all to cause a stir for the recall and to top it, the DA's budget has dried up because of it. Walker won, again, and it's pointless to go after him any more, but libitards always love extending their 15 minutes.
Maybe John Jizz'em can start prosecuting gun crimes again.

Most likely Kim Kardashian, i'd like to see fade away slowly, mainly because she's only famous for her name and what she gets in trouble for, not for her talent. Most stars are like that now a days, it's a little dissapointing
