Honestly you can't make this stuff up.

Here's a link to Paul Ryan expressing his adoration for passport bride/adulteress/pro-choice atheist Ayn Rand (scroll down to audio link but check out the quotes on the way down): http://www.atlassociety.org/ele/blog/2012/04/30/paul-ryan-and-ayn-rands-ideas-hot-seat-again

Favorite Ryan quotes c. 2005:

(2:23) But the reason I got involved in public service, by and large, if I had to credit one thinker, one person, it would be Ayn Rand. And the fight we are in here, make no mistake about it, is a fight of individualism versus collectivism.

(3: 21) It’s so important that we go back to our roots to look at Ayn Rand’s vision, her writings, to see what our girding, under-grounding [sic] principles are. I always go back to, you know, Francisco d’Anconia’s speech (at Bill Taggart’s wedding) on money when I think about monetary policy. And then I go to the 64-page John Galt speech, you know, on the radio at the end, and go back to a lot of other things that she did, to try and make sure that I can check my premises so that I know that what I’m believing and doing and advancing are square with the key principles of individualism…

Hilarious that Ryan is actually trying to backpedal from his idol and that some folks are actually falling for it...

Here's the Romney-Ryan Plan:
1. Tax poor & working people but not the rich;
2. Encourage wages in the U.S. to fall to third world levels;
3. Pass trade laws that make it easy for companies to send jobs overseas;
4. Pass laws that enable only insurance companies to control who gets health care (including seniors) and who doesn't;
5. Replace public education with out of pocket private schools and home schooling;
6. Refuse to invest in crumbling public infrastructure such as highways, bridges, and sewer systems;
7. Environmental Policy: Pass laws and weaken regulations that enable companies to pollute the environment;
8. Pass laws that enable gas and oil production and prices to be controlled by a few large companies; Make sure that there is no longer any research or work on alternative energy sources; Keep defense spending high to protect non domestic oil production;
9. Repress rights for women and minorities and repress voting participation;
10. Divide the American people on cultural issues (religion, sexual orientation, gun rights, etc);
11. Instill fear in the American public through manufactured crises and created "boogeymen". Then attack political opponents by claiming to be more "patriotic" and the better keeper of "American Values" than they.
12. Make it impossible for literally millions of ELIGIBLE voters to cast their ballots, which is flagrant vote tampering and corruption.

From Jason:
14) As a young boy in 1912 George Romney (Mitt's father) fled Mexico with his parents to ___

A) Go to Brazil

B) Head to Canada, hey

C) Enter the US illegally through New Mexico"

So, you are wanting to say that Romney is not a US Citizen and can't hold office?
The question is, can Mitt Romney produce a US birth certificate? Oh wait... he did.

Or are you saying that George Romney and family were not US Citizens and are technically illegal aliens? Actually Mitt wouldn't be since, under the 14th Amendment, just being born in the US automatically makes you a citizen.

Also, your link cites the Edmund Act of 1882 as stripping citizenship from anyone practicing polygamy. Again, that pesky 14th Amendment prohibits striping US citizenry from anyone without due process, so unless George Romney's grandfather was convicted as a polygamist, or renounced his citizenship, they were still all US Citizen's.

But even more to the Edmunds Act, from what I have found, convicted polygamists were made felon's, denied certain rights (ie, vote, serve on juries...) but their citizenship was still in tack.

I am amazed that you are so quick to slap an "illegal alien" label on a family that crossed the border over a century ago, but not to one that did yesterday.

I understood that questions arose regarding George Romney's eligibility to run for president because of the Mexican birth, but that he was eligible to run because the Mormon Church has some type of arrangement with Immigration that provided U.S. citizenship to children born in the Mormon colony.

Thank you darling wonder Mitt! Thanks for blessing us with inspiration of inherited wealth. Thank you for teaching us nobody should pay more tax just because they hide money, tax-free, in the Caymans & Bermuda & Switzerland & Andorra. Thanks for having fools pay their taxes, while you live in luxury. Thanks for building an elevator for your cars & limos in one of your 7 palaces, which also gives us inspiration to be like you: accomplished & not being afraid to demonstrate loyalty to yr fellow accomplished friends with the promise to further lower their taxes. And also thank the Ryan budget author for promising to reduce yr tax rate to 1%. After all 13% tax rate sure beats the 37% rate those on salaries must pay. It'ss inspiring for all of us not yet rich as you; not rich like yr daddy, not rich as yr wife or boys. Thank you for choosing a running mate who is also a millionaire from the inheritance from his great-grandfather, the road builder, whose company was passed down to his son & then his son, Paul's Daddy afforded Mr. Ryan a life in Wash.DC & inspiration to lower taxes on his multimillionaire mom & dad & all those whom God has blessed. You go Mitt! Why should Americans wait for the government to give a measly retirement to those who paid for it, when you show how to take care of yourself? Why give people Obamacare just because people without $ get sick? If God wants them sick, why go against God's will? O Mitt, how inspiring you are! Pay no attention to envy!

An elevator for a car collection? Why are you against car collections? Or is it you are just against people who can afford such things. Jealousy, that's what all this boils down to. As to the dog on the roof, I certainly wouldn't put my pet on the roof of my car, but in that era, they did sell tied down kennels that affixed to the roof rack of a station wagon. Sears and Montgomery Wards sold them as well as other stores. I felt bad the dog got sick up there, but it was not illegal to do so. Being rich isn't a crime either, unless it's in some Soviet Gulag. Get off the "He's rich, I hate the rich" bandwagon. If the so-called progressives go after these rich guys and that money runs out...who's next? The small business owner? You gonna take that and put in some comrade manager to run it through the instruction of the central committee? We all seen where that got the CCCP. I don't see you guys screaming for Soros' and Buffet's money. Just shut up and get a clue.

Such leaps! First, the Soviet wealthy were virtually never in the gulag as they could bribe their way out. Second, I have yet to see where the Dems have classified wealth as a crime. Third, please document the proposal(s) where the Dems propose taking over all small businesses and run them in socialist fashion. I have yet to see the proposal for a Central Committee. In fact, the most socialistic event in recent time had the gov't invest in the Detroit automakers. We, the citizens of the U.S., were stock holders, and never put in a central committee, or forced other wealthy stock holders to give up their property.In fact, we helped preserve the company they owned, then divested!

Please understand that the progressives want justice/fairness for all. TIme and time again it has been shown that a strong middle class strengthens this country's economy and government solvency, and concentration of wealth in a few hands leads to economic treachery. (See prosperity of the '50's, 90's compared to wealth concentration prior to the great depression, and the rising debt/job loss/economic collapse of W's administration).

Trickle down hasn't worked. If it did, our economy never would have crashed in '08. Tax fairness and government investment in infrastructure, education, etc. creates wealth for the rich AND the middle class.

@Luke: I am a working class guy. According to the calculators I have used, my taxes will go up under the Romney/Ryan plan. They will go down under Obama's plan. I will use such money to buy products and services and drive the economy, creating more employment than a venture capitalist buying a company, outsourcing the jobs, and storing the wealth in off shore accounts. Tens of thousands of working class folks spending a thousand dollars will create far more jobs than one man building a car elevator, or boarding a horse.

And, when I get on Medicare in 15 years, I better pray that insurance costs go up by 1% per year. In my lifetime, I have never seen insurance premiums go up at a rate equal to inflation +1%. And that has been with a private sector insurance industry.

Such policies have pushed me from being a centrist republican to being a democrat...

So Obama should return the money he received from companies that profit from hydrocarbons?

So Obama did not accept any tax breaks and paid the percentage of taxes he wants the rich to pay? So the news was wrong when they reported that he paid a lower percentage than his secretary?

So you wouldn't have complained that Rayan's family would have benefited from infastructure spending if he wanted to spend more on infrastructure? Did you not complain about Bush paying off "big oil"?

Romney/Ryan are a treasure trove of hilarity. Back-pedaling like on a runaway bicycle with a broken coaster brake, down a winding mountain road. Hairpin turns
called Medicare, Social Security, Ayn Rand worship, Mormonism and its past and present beliefs and practices, no abortion even for rape and incest, excessive military budget, lack of foreign relations credentials, secret tax returns, lifestyle of the rich and famous, past predatory business ownership, silver spoon headstarts, inability to connect with the common man along with the particular inability to connect to minorities (honky/wonky). honky tonk contributors like Sheldon "Vegas" Adelman, etc. And there is so much more to be uncovered, as the fresh, intense spotlight is now on the Romney/Ryan duo, while just about everything Obama/Biden has ever done or allegedly done has been cussed and discussed.

I, too, don't trust lying, pot smoking communists. I don't see how that is topical because a)Obama is generally honest. b) Obama has never been a regular post smoker. (He may have experimented, but so has virtually every Viet Nam vet, college grad, etc.) c) Obama is not a communist. (If you think he is, please take a course in economic/political philosophy to better understand communism)

@Brian: Obamacare uses private sector insurance plans. How is that the same as the government taking over an industry and running it?

So let's stick with the violent version of Jimmy Carter aka Barry Obama? We only have two choices unfortunately so you either go with Mitt or watch Barry break loose the hell upon us in his second term free of re-election worries.

@The Anti-Alinsky
Good stuff. You quiz simply and plainly points out his utter foolishness.
Jason has a lot of time on his hands as he dedicates a lot of time to complete non sense but has not one original thought in his mind as to what he personally stands for until some liberal think tank releases some talking points. He is the typical lib that needs that structure to be told what he has to think and how he has to live. Its a lot easier to be stupid than to actually step out in the real world and look for solutions to the real problems we face.

Thanks skinnyDUDE. As time is kind of tight for the next week, feel free to provide your own alternative questions.

It never ceases to amaze me the hypocrisy of the left. They are willing to stretch and exaggerate the truth (and often flat out lie) with any Conservative candidate, but refuse to see the major flaws in their candidates. They fight for the sanctity of life for a serial killer, but refuse to stand up for the unborn innocent.

Even FDR is wondering what they are thinking!

skinnyDUDE - I thought the quiz was creative and funny.
Why so serious and hateful.? A lot more engaging than reading the uncreative, convulsive spewings of extreme right wing bile.

"uncreative, convulsive spewings"???
Dirk, that's what Jason's entire post was. like most Liberal post it was based on rumor and bias, ... but mostly speculation.

The lefties continue with the same tactics as always, attack the opposition. Good luck with that, it has worked so well in the past. Keep on spitting, it's the best thing Romney could ask for.
Obama is a joke and Biden is a disaster, Jason fits in well.
