Have You Tried Taco Tuesdays at BelAir Cantina?

Traditionally slower weekdays are an excuse to run some specials, and North Avenue's new go-to place has a slate of them.

It's been open about a month now, so maybe most folks have had a chance to check out BelAir Cantina, the new hotspot on North Avenue.

But have you been on a Taco Tuesday (or Thursday)?

If you've waited in line on a weekend, you know BelAir is popular, but those in the know also line up on a couple of typically slower weekdays, when BelAir knocks down the price of some of its selected tacos and tamales, as well as some drinks, to $2 apiece.

Dos Equis and Modelo beer on tap are also $2, and so are cans of Modelo and Tecate. Something called "Mystery Tequila Shots" likewise.

BelAir Cantina, 6817 W. North Ave., is open Tuesday from 11 a.m. to bar closing, with the kitchen serving until 11 p.m.

Taco Tuesdays started at the first BelAir location, at 1935 N. Water St. in Milwaukee, and proved so popular they were expanded to Thursdays.
