Kohl's Art Generation Family Sundays: Fairy Tales

On Sunday, December 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Milwaukee Art Museum welcomes the public to participate in Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays: Fairy Tales. Families can celebrate the holiday season while discovering the magical stories in the feature exhibition Thomas Sully: Painted Performance. Visitors can make a special portrait or puppet to keep or to give as a gift or enjoy ballet performances and madrigal singers. They can also take part in a Victorian dance or even make friends with a few fairy tale characters! Local book author Carole E. Barrowman will join in the festivities in the afternoon with an art activity; she will also be signing copies of her books Bone Quill and Hollow Earth.

While at the Museum, kids and families can stop into the Kohl’s Education Center—a fun, interactive space designed to give kids an appreciation for art through participation in exciting, creative, hands-on projects. Part of the Kohl's Art Generation program, this space is made possible through $6.3 million from Kohl's Cares to the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays are free with Museum admission, and kids 12 and under get into Museum for free! December 8 is also Member Swap Day at the Museum—so families can enjoy seven times the fun! Museum members can visit Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, Discovery World, Milwaukee Public Museum, Grohmann Museum, Harley Davidson Museum, Pabst Mansion and receive free general admission at all seven with your membership card and photo ID.
