100th Street Construction Means Commuter, School Traffic Headaches

Summer construction headaches along 100th Street continue until the fall and start of school.

If the start of the school year wasn't hectic enough, construction on 100th Street between Grantosa and RubyΒ is adding time to the morning rush.

Work on the road - on the border of Wauwatosa and Milwaukee - will complete sometime mid-October, according to our media partners at WISN 12 News.

Until then, though, students at Divine Savior Holy Angels and Milwaukee Lutheran High School will have to stay alert to traffic pattern changes.

"It's a little stressful because every day it's a different situation. Different roads are closed and it's confusing,"Β Divine Savior sophomore Meaghan Legore told WISN.

The project actually got underway earlier this summer with sewer replacement and is now moving into repaving.

WISN says commuters are adding 15 to 20 to their drive.
