‘Tosa congregations offering comfort with Blue Christmas Service

Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church and Trinity Episcopal Church are again teaming up to present a special Blue Christmas Service on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at WAUMC, 1529 Wauwatosa, Wis. Parking is available behind the church off of Underwood Ave.

The service is free and open to the public. It is designed to bring comfort to those feeling more “blue” than “bright” through scripture, hymns, prayers, quiet reflection and candlelight. Individuals will also have an opportunity to receive a prayer for healing and wholeness.

“A not-so-merry Christmas may be the reality for those in pain due to a lost job, lost health or a lost loved one,” explains WAUMC Pastor Sue Burwell.
