Inside Frank Lloyd Wright's Greek Orthodox Church
Fifty years after it opened, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Wauwatosa still stands out with its unique architecture.
When the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Wauwatosa was constructed in 1961, it broke from traditional Byzantine architecture but put traditional Orthodox symbols at its center, with the foundation built on the shape of the cross and a dome stretching over 100 feet across the ceiling.
It was one of Frank Lloyd Wright's last projects, as he submitted the design in 1956 before he died in 1959.
