Celebrate Irish Fest Family Day in the Village

Milwaukee's Irish Fest, headquartered in the heart of Tosa, brings it home Saturday with all things Gaelic.

Come help Milwaukee Irish Fest celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the Irish Fest Center, 1532 Wauwatosa Ave., in the Village of Wauwatosa.

Along with participating Village businesses we've put together a fun-filled day for the whole family.

Join us at the Irish Fest Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and enjoy free crafts for the kids, Irish Dancers, Irish drum and whistle demonstrations, weaving, lace making and live music.

We'll even teach you how to write your name in Gaelic.

The Little Red Store, 7720 Harwood Ave., which is operated by the Wauwatosa Historical Society and serves as Tosa's visitor center, will also hold special Irish-themed activities.

Participating Village businesses have pitched in to help make the day even more entertaining:

  • The , 7613 W. State St., will be serving an Irish Breakfast with music and coloring pages for the kids as well as visits from Irish Fest's leprechaun mascots; Paddy and Molly McFest.
  • Little Read Book, 7603 W. State St., Irish themed story book readings.
  • B Green, 7505 Harwood Ave., environmentally friendly crafts.
  • Arte', 7511 Harwood Ave., St. Patrick's Day-themed painting at 11 a.m., classes with a "green" twist at 2 and 7 p.m.
