Tosa Church Holding Candlelight Vigil Tonight for Slain Officer

Public is invited to join congregation at 10 p.m. in parish garden to remember and pray for Wauwatosa Police Officer Jennifer Lynn Sebena.

Trinity Episcopal Church will hold a candlelight vigil to remember Wauwatosa Police Officer Jennifer Lynn Sebena in their parish garden at the northwest corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Church Street beginning at 10 p.m. this evening.

"At the time of greatest pain," said Bill Robison of the congregation, "we know of no better way to heal than to gather as a community in prayer."

The vigil will be followed by a time of carols in the church at 10:30 p.m., and a festival Christmas Eve Eucharist beginning at 11 p.m.

The church was forced to cancel a planned 4 p.m. Eucharist service and Christmas pageant because of street closings due to the ongoing investigation into the murder of Officer Sebena.

All in the community are welcome to the vigil and to the services that follow.
