Reminder: AlertNow Keeps Parents Connected to District

Wauwatosa School District parents can get important information - both emergency and not - through AlertNow.

When news needs to get to parents quickly in cases of emergency, the Wauwatosa School District utilizes AlertNow to send messages.

AlertNow is a system that gives the district the ability to send text and voice messages to any phone and Internet-enabled device like cell phones and computers. Even better, there isn't anything extra district members have to do to join the network.

"(Anyone who) is a parent/guardian, student or staff member in the Wauwatosa School District, you will automatically receive messages the district sends out via the AlertNow system," the district writes on its website.

Non-emergency messages will also come from AlertNow, and Caller ID will list the home school of the student. In cases of emergency, Caller ID will read "411."

Families who need to get a new phone number on record should call their child's school to update their records.
