Hopes for Gas/Convenience Shop Almost on 'E'
The Community Development Committee recommended against the change to a Vliet Street location.
Efforts to remake a car repair shop on the far east side of Wauwatosa into a full-service gas station/convenience store received a big "dislike" from the Community Development Committee on Tuesday, according to Wauwatosa NOW.
Residents urged the panel to reject Mandeep Dhawan's request to buy the Vilet Street shop from retiring Tom Kapusta and add gas service and conveniences, which it once had. The panel listened, voting 5-2 against the request.
The full Common Council still votes Tuesday on the matter, NOW reported.
