Meet Mark Bonanno, Tosa Patch's Ad Sales Manager

Mark is your man if you're ready to learn how you can promote your business or organization on Patch.

Advertising sales at Wauwatosa Patch now has a face and a name — and direct phone numbers and an e-mail address, for that matter.

Introducing Mark Bonanno, the newest member of the Wauwatosa Patch team. Mark is your go-to guy if you're eager to find out how Patch can help you spread the word about your business or organization.

"I'm passionate about helping local businesses attract new customers," Mark said, "but truly, my favorite part of the job is learning about different towns and the people that make them interesting."

Mark was born in Buffalo, NY, a city much like Milwaukee, and grew up just outside the city in a suburb much like Wauwatosa. He studied mass communications and broadcasting at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Then it was off to the Big Apple, where for five years before joining Patch he worked in the marketing and advertising industry for publishing companies.

"After working in New York City," Mark said, "it just brings a smile to my face every time someone in Wisconsin picks up the phone. You folks love to chat — and that's great, because I do, too. People in the Midwest are a lot more like the people in Buffalo I grew up with."

Mark also handles ad sales for Menomonee Falls and Sussex, and he can work with other Patch representatives to reach potential customers near Wauwatosa.

"Brookfield is a natural market for Wauwatosa," Mark said, "and I work closely with Mark Mamone, my counterpart there. We can customize marketing to any or all Patches in Southeast Wisconsin and beyond."

While selling is Mark's prime directive, he is also ready to help anyone in Wauwatosa learn how to use the several free services on Patch that are designed to help market local businesses and community organizations.

"It's part of my training and part of my job to be a customer service representative for these tools," Mark said. "I can help you 'claim' your business directory listing, for instance, and show you how to use its features. If you know how to use it to its full potential, it's like having your own free Web site built into Patch."

Every Patch site includes this comprehensive community directory of businesses, organizations and institutions, private and public. By 'claiming' your organization's listing, you can add or remove photos, update information, promote timely events and much more.

Patch users can also post events and announcements outside the directory so that they appear prominently on the Patch home page.
