Readers' Choice Poll: Voting Is on for Best-in-Breakfast or Brunch Title

Don't skip breakfast. And on a laid-back weekend morning, don't rush it, either. We'd like to know where you most enjoy starting your day off or holiday.

Mother says breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

She also says that brunch is the most important meal of the year – the one you take her to on Mother's Day morning.

We asked you to balance out those breakfast-and/or-brunch imperatives and nominate your favorite place for a relaxing, take-your-time Saturday or Sunday morning tucker-in.

Some places, it seems like breakfast is the most forgotten meal of the day in the restaurant trade, but Wauwatosa appears to have more than its share of cherished open-early dining spots, with more opening all the time.

Readers named 10 places in our call for candidates that began Friday. The polling starts now and ends this Friday.

If any more nominations come in soon, they can still be added to the poll below. (We can think of a couple more places we like that aren't on the list, but hey, it's a readers' poll.)

Here are the initial nominees:

If any of these places are unfamiliar to you, just click on their links to go to their Patch Directory listings. You can also leave a review and/or rating.

Ah ha! That's one of the places I was thinking was conspicuous in its absence, Caley. Cafe Hollander has now been added as a candidate.
