Robertson's Ace Hardware Closing Soon in Wauwatosa

Slow economy contributes to long-time business' closure.

A long-time staple of Wauwatosa’s business scene will close soon after financial stresses have become too much.

Robertson’s ACE Hardware is shutting its doors soon after being in business for more than 90 years in Wauwatosa. The building was constructed in Wauwatosa in 1897 at 1417 Underwood Ave.

"With the economy and business slowing down, it's just gotten to the point where there's just not enough money in it right now," owner Jeffrey Rauh told Wauwatosa Now.

Rauh plans to close the store next month, the Business Journal is reporting, after inventory has been cleared out. Seven part-time employees will lose their jobs in the closure.
