Stein's Grand Opening Includes Weekend Prizes

Who doesn't love fabulous prizes? Especially when they are about finally getting outdoors and dressing up that winter-tired landscape. Stein Gardens and Gifts is open, and Hawk's is still there to help.

Stein Garden and Gifts is open for business in Wauwatosa and holding its grand opening now through Tuesday.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the retail garden center at 12217 Watertown Plank Road will feature in-store raffles and chances to win Stein gift cards.

Just in time for what finally looks like spring, the garden center will take up where Hawk's Nursery left off when it closed its retail operation there in February.

Stein's promises a continued selection of lawn and garden need, home decor and more.

Hawk's will still be on the premises as well for landscaping design and installation needs. Owner Joe Kresl sold only his retail operation to Stein and will operate his ongoing landscaping services business from approximately five acres in back of Stein. Hawk's design offices remain in the retail center building.

As part of the deal, Stein – which, despite being the largest area garden center operation, now with 16 large stores, had never offered landscaping services – will host Hawk's staff and services at all 12 of the stores in the metro Milwaukee area.
