Thawed Out: November Skating at Hart Park Halted by Malfunction

A breakdown in the ice-making machinery has caused the cancellation of three days of post-Thanksgiving public skating at the Muellner Building rink.

Public skating dates for November at the Hart Park skating and curling rink in the Muellner Building have been cancelled because – well, there is no ice, according to the city Parks and Foresty Division.

Mary Clare Schuller of the division's staff said that a breakdown in the ice-making machinery has rendered the rink unusable for the time being.

Public skating was planned for Friday through Sunday this weekend.

However, the fix should be in and the ice ready for all scheduled dates for public skating in December, beginning on the 16th, Schuller said.
