Wauwatosa Declares Snow Emergency

The emergency will be in effect from 11 p.m. Tuesday until conditions permit it to be lifted.

UPDATED 5:55 a.m. Wednesday: Wauwatosa School District closed Wednesday.

City of Wauwatosa has declared a snow emergency.

The emergency goes into effect beginning at 11 p.m., Feb. 26. and will be lifted when the weather conditions permit.

More information will be given in regards to snow removal operations progress towards completion.

Parking is not allowed on city streets during snow emergencies and cars will be ticketed.

According to the city website, it is illegal to blow or push snow into roadways and city medians. Keep in mind that city vehicles that handle snow and ice removal are emergency vehicles.
