When is the Milwaukee Brewers Home Opener?

The Milwaukee Brewers are getting ready to "go yard" with another Major League Baseball season at Miller Park. Opening Day is a huge event; get details on the game and on Wauwatosa establishments celebrating.

Every expletive has probably been used to describe the weather of late, but evidence of spring is on the way — Milwaukee Brewers Opening Day.

The countdown is on to the Milwaukee Brewers home opener at Miller Park, and beginning with the opening pitch at 1:05 p.m. on Monday, April 1 against the Colorado Rockies, the 2013 baseball season will be underway. 

If you're lucky enough to grab tickets, here are the details for the day:

• 10 a.m.: Parking lot opens 
• Noon : Brat Relay Race
• 1 p.m.: Ceremonial First Pitch from 1970 opening day starter Lew Krausse to 1970 opening day catcher Jerry McNertney
• About 1 p.m.: National Anthem by Joseph Attanasio

Overflow parking: State Fair Park Park-and-Ride for $10 (shuttle to Miller Park included)

Don't want to drive? The Milwaukee County Transit System's Route 10 will take you to the main gate. The bus stops at 15902 W. Bluemound Road, just west of Pilgrim Parkway/Moorland Road. Approximate arrival is one hour after pickup, so plan accordingly.

If you don't make it in person, the game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Wisconsin.
