Milwaukee Art Museum Hosts Kohl's Art Generation Family Sundays: Off the Wall and Participates in Member Swap Day

On Sunday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Milwaukee Art Museum invites the public to enjoy a fun, hands-on experience with art during Kohl's Art Generation Family Sundays: Off the Wall. Family Sundays are free with Museum admission, and kids 12 and under always get into the Museum for free!

Children can discover 3-D art by experimenting with different materials and methods used by sculptors, crafting a personal masterpiece or adding to a giant group sculpture. Families can also build a portrait with clay, construct an abstract form with paper, and meet local artists to learn about their creative process. They can even create a living sculpture by bending and stretching with guest dancers!

While at the museum, kids and families can stop into the Kohl's Education Center – a fun, interactive space designed to give kids an appreciation for art through participation in exciting, creative, hands-on projects. Part of the Kohl's Art Generation program, this space is made possible through a $6.4 million commitment from Kohl's Cares to the Milwaukee Art Museum.

May 18 is also Member Swap Day at the Museum, so members of Betty Brinn Children's Museum, Charles Allis Art Museum, Discovery World, Grohmann Museum, Harley-Davidson Museum®, Milwaukee Public Museum, Pabst Mansion, and Villa Terrace Art Museum can visit the Milwaukee Art Museum for free with membership card and photo ID from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m..
