West Side Holiday Happenings

Vliet Street Business Association, Neighbor

Kick off
the holiday shopping and dining season on Milwaukee’s west side. West Side
Holiday Happenings will take place on West Vliet Street between 43rd and 60th
Streets and North Avenue between 49th and 52nd Streets Fri., Nov. 15 from 5 to
9 p.m. and Sat., November 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At Holiday Happenings,
participants can enjoy holiday open houses at a number of west side businesses,
family-friendly “make and take” art projects at several locations and visits
with Santa on Saturday. Several Vliet Street and North Avenue locations will be
accepting donations of new socks, mittens and hats for kids attending programs
at the Urban Ecology Center at Washington Park (donations accepted through Dec.
