MILWAUKEE WAVE EXTENDS BENNETT FOR FOUR YEARS; ANNOUNCES BOBBLE HEAD

The Milwaukee Wave has announced a 4-year contract extension for Midfielder/Forward Ian Bennett.

"With his speed and ability to put up points, along with his willingness to defend, makes him a very important piece to our overall success," said Head Coach Keith Tozer.

Bennett was the first college soccer player from Marian (Ind.) to receive a professional contract. He made his pro debut in 2007 with the Chicago Storm where he tailed 31 points in 22 games. Bennett came to the Milwaukee Wave in the 2009-10 season and finished 5th with most points for the team with 27. In the 2010-2011 season Bennett recorded his 100th career indoor soccer point.

Bennett's most successful season with the Wave came last season when he scored 25 goals, which tied him for the most on the team and had a total of 62 points. He finished with the 2nd most points for the Wave.

"I'm so blessed to be a part of a great club and community plus my mom said I only look good in a Wave uniform" said Ian Bennett about his contract extension.

The Milwaukee Wave opens up the Regular Season on the road against the Missouri Comets on Saturday, November 16th at 7:35pm. The Home Opener at U.S. Cellular Arena on Saturday, December 7th at 6:00pm, features, "A Salute to Our Armed Forces", a post-game concert by Grammy Nominated Rock Band, "Daughtry" and brings defending MISL Champions Baltimore Blast to town.
