Another Boy Beaten in an Attempted Robbery

Attack on Longfellow School grounds bears some similarities to nearby strong-arm robbery of Tosa East student last week.

A 17-year-old Wauwatosa boy reported Wednesday that he had been beaten in an attempted robbery by two unknown boys or young men on the football field at , 7600 W. North Ave.

The victim told police that about 9:30 p.m. he was walking across the field when the two approached him from behind. One of them said, “Hey man, we want your stuff.” He told them he didn’t have anything to give them and asked them to leave him alone. Then the other said, “Man, you don’t want this to get serious.”

The boy felt threatened, he said, so he struck first, hitting the first suspect in the face. The other then tackled him and both started punching and kicking him.
