Gas Main Hit at 108th and Bluemound

The gas line was struck near Mo's Irish Pub. The leak was quickly brought under control and nobody was injured.

There were no injuries after a gas main was hit by construction workers outside Mo's Irish Pub about 8 a.m. Friday morning.

Wauwatosa Fire Department Chief Jim Case said that crews evacuated Mo's as well as Edwardo's Pizza, Suburpia and Tri City National Bank nearby. The leaking main was under control within the hour, according to WISN TV.

As of 9 a.m., traffic was moving through the intersection again. WISN TV reported that several blocks were closed off in the area as crews responded to the leak.
