A coworker of Adams was sitting in the passenger seat of her car Sunday in front of her husband’s apartment in the 7400 block of West Center Street and holding Adams’ infant child. Adams' husband suddenly came out of nowhere and began arguing with her about a custody battle the two are engaged in.

He then began to choke Adams, who started the car and began to drive away. Adams then began driving in circles and tried to run over her husband several times but missed.

His girlfriend then showed up and got out of her car holding a crowbar and shouting at Adams, who then stopped her car. Her husband then grabbed the crowbar from the other woman, took it and began to smash out windows on Adams car, causing glass to fly onto the witness and the infant.

Adams began driving again, but instead of leaving she smashed into the girlfriend’s car twice, then ran her over and left.

She then drove off and eventually let the witness get out of the car at a gas station in the 7500 block of West Burleigh Street. The woman said she then walked back to her apartment several blocks away where police were already waiting.

The victim suffered internal swelling and a laceration on her right leg.

Adams is currently free on a $1,000 signature bond while awaiting trial.
