East Tosa Alert: Multiple Crimes Hit Small Area on Successive Days

From rifled cars and stolen license plates to garage burglaries, including one by force, a number of crimes have occurred over three blocks.

Residents of a few blocks just north of West North Avenue in East Tosa should be vigilant and extra cautious about leaving valuables unsecured in cars and garages, as the area has been the target of a number of possibly related crimes over at least the past three days and nights.

The incidents, ranging from car entries to a garage break-in, have been moving west a block or two each day in the 2400 block from North 61st to 64th streets – so perhaps folks along the next couple of streets should be on the lookout.

On Sunday, a resident of the 2400 block of North 64th Street reported that some time between 9:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. someone stole an air compressor and two nail guns from his unlocked garage. During the same time, the rear license plates were stolen from cars belonging to two other residents of the same block.

noted in reports that they believe that at least some of the crimes are being committed by the same person or persons.
