Busted: Milwaukee Man Caught With 10 Packets of Heroin
Suspect is speeding, and after he's pulled over, officers smell marijuana coming from inside his car, which leads to a bigger bust.
A 22-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after was caught allegedly carrying nearly 2 grams of heroin in his car while speeding through Wauwatosa.
Joshua H. Cotton was charged Thursday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 12½ years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

On July 12, a officer spotted Cotton speeding in the 7400 block of West State Street and pulled him over.
As the officer was approaching the car, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside, so he called for backup and searched the vehicle.

Inside the officer found 10 "bindles" of heroin – bindles are squares of paper folded into tiny envelopes – containing 1.75 grams all together.
Cotton and a passenger were taken into custody, but Cotton admitted the drugs were his.
He will make his initial appearance in court Aug. 1.
