Teen Offered Clemency in Tosa Pot Bust Now Faces More Charges
Suspect could have avoided prosecution for marijuana possession in Wauwatosa, but he's caught in Greenfield with more of the drug.

An 18-year-old Milwaukee man could have avoided time behind bars by keeping clean for awhile after he was caught in Wauwatosa in March with some marijuana.

He couldn't. He's facing more drug charges after he was caught holding again , and so now he faces time on that first run-in with the law.
Jacob R. Beaulieu was charged Friday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to six months in prison and $1,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:
On March 2, Beaulieu was pulled over by a officer in the 1100 block of North 70th Street, and when the officer approached the car he could smell a strong marijuana odor coming from inside. The traffic stop took place at 2:45 p.m. Beaulieu told the officer he had smoked the drug at 11:30 a.m.
The officer then searched Beaulieu and found two baggies of marijuana in his jacket along with a digital scale and rolling papers.
Beaulieu was offered a chance to participate in a Diversion Agreement in the case; however, after he was busted in Greenfield on June 5 with more marijuana, the offer was rescinded.
He is free on a $250 signature bond while awaiting trial.
