A Racine County sheriff’s deputy was on patrol at 11:11 p.m. June 9 when he spotted Brolin riding a moped on Sylvania Avenue in Town of Yorkville. He pulled Brolin over, who then stumbled slightly while getting off the moped.

The deputy immediately noticed a strong alcohol smell coming from Brolin, who said he drank a couple of shots of Crown Royal before driving. He failed field sobriety  tests, then made no effort to properly blow into a Breathalyzer test machine.

Brolin was then taken to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, where he refused to submit to a blood alcohol test. He was then taken to the hospital for a mandatory blood draw, which he initially resisted. Eventually, he complied with hospital staff.

He had been convicted of operating while intoxicated twice in 2007 and once in 2009. He’s currently free on $3,000 bond while awaiting trial.
