A 31-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of felony drug possession after police say they found numerous prescription pills on him following a domestic violence incident.

Adam Schaller was charged May 24 in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with possession of narcotics. If convicted, he could face up to three years and six months imprisonment, $10,000 in fines, or both.

According to the criminal complaint:

On May 2 at about 11:04 a.m., Wauwatosa police were dispatched to a domestic violence incident in the 4100 block of North 98th Street, and began a search for Schaller after learning he had left the scene.

Police observed a car matching the description of Schaller’s at a gas station just blocks from the scene, made contact with him and made an arrest.

During a search of Schaller, an officer recovered a plastic baggie with numerous pills, which later tested positive for Hydrocodone, Methadone, Oxycodone and Alprazolam.

Schaller told police the pills belonged to him and that he purchased them from a person at work, according to the court documents.

Schaller’s initial court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
