Chief Barry Weber Talks About Department's Bond with Jennifer Sebena's Family

Through shared grief and support, Wauwatosa police have bonded with Jennifer Sebena's mother and brother as one big family, Weber says.

After reading Wauwatosa Patch's story Monday about the Wauwatosa Police Department's "Jenny Bears" – gifts from her mother for all to remember Officer Jennifer Sebena after her death while on duty Christmas Eve morning – our media partners at WISN sat down with Police Chief Barry Weber to learn more and share it with all of metro Milwaukee.

Weber explains to reporter Christina Palladino how Jen's mother, Violet Gerhat, and brother, Jacob Wernitznig, through their shared grief with the personnel of the police department, have bonded as family.

Gerhat stopped in Monday with lunch for the entire department and also brought along teddy bears for everyone from Chief Weber down – something warm and comforting to remind them of their missing sister.
