Police Report: Caught! Two Girls Arrested in Rash of Thefts at East High

Digital devices had been disappearing from backpacks and lockers for more than a week.

On Monday, Wauwatosa Patch reported that a string of thefts at Wauwatosa East High School stretching back through last week, especially in the girls’ locker room, should make Tosa East students watchful.

There were more thefts early this week, and Wednesday, two Milwaukee girls, one 16 and one 17, were arrested at East High School shortly after two other students reported losses of digital devices. The two girls were implicated in numerous recent thefts from the girls’ locker room. The police recovered a number of stolen cell phones and digital cameras from the 17-year-old’s car.

Unfortunately, the supplemental police report detailing how they caught the two girls had not yet been made available to the media.
