Police Report: Sixth West North Avenue Business Hit by Burglars
Thieves also target a home, locker rooms and an open garage.
Burglars broke into another West North Avenue business, using a pry tool to break in through a rear door, according to Wauwatosa police.
The burglary, at , 10633 W. North Ave., took place some time late Thursday night or early Friday morning. The store manager discovered the burglary when he arrived to open the store about 9:15 a.m. Friday, police said.
Two days earlier, businesses β all within a block of each other in the 8800 and 8900 blocks of West North Avenue β were hit. Burglars gained access to three of five businesses targeted some time late Tuesday night or early morning Wednesday. A pry tool also was used in those incidents.

As in the other break-ins, the grocery burglars were after cash only, prying open the cash register but leaving all products within the grocery untouched, police said.

- Burglars made off with nearly $2,500 in electronics and jewelry of unknown value from a house in the 4000 block of North 93rd Street during a break-in between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The suspects gained entry by forcing in a window-mounted air conditioning unit.
- Locker rooms at two Tosa fitness centers were targeted by thieves, and a total of five wallets or money clips were stolen. One was taken from , 2885 N. Mayfair Rd., late Friday morning, and four were stolen between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Thursday from the Wisconsin Athletic Center, 8700 W. Watertown Plank Rd. Employees at each fitness center gave police a description of a suspect .
- Two bicycles with a combined value of $150 were stolen from an open garage in the 1700 block of North 60th Street between 7 p.m. Thursday and 12 p.m. Friday.
