At 6:59 p.m., a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after the car she was riding in was stopped following a complaint from a resident. A woman who lives in the 7800 block of Warren Avenue called police after the suspect banged on her door and rang her doorbell for several minutes. She said she could see a car now parked in front of her house with a man at the wheel. She was afraid to answer the door because she was alone, and she called police. Police stopped the car at North 81st Street and Hillcrest Drive. The two said they were collecting money for the United Restoration Church, but the woman was found to have a long criminal history including robbery, drug charges, concealed weapons and numerous prostitution arrests. She had a used crack pipe in her jacket pocket and two steak knives, one in her jacket and one in her purse.

At 3:11 p.m., a 48-year-old New Berlin man was arrested for obstruction of an officer when he came to the Wauwatosa police station to report that he had not actually been the driver of a truck involved in a minor accident, as reported. He told officers his girlfriend had actually been driving but since she had to get to work, they and the owner of a parked car she had backed into agreed to say that the man had been at the wheel. He said he wanted to set the record straight because he believed the owner of the car that had been hit was trying to commit insurance fraud by claiming that his truck had caused damage that in fact was already present before the accident.
