Police Reports: 15-Year-Old Hospitalized After Bout of Drinking

Boy was on afternoon movie date with 13-year-old girl, drank 20 ounces of vodka.

A boy on an afternoon movie date Wednesday at with a girl barely in her teens had to be hospitalized after he drank 20 ounces of vodka and fell, striking his head.

According to the police report:

The 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for underage drinking at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where he was taken for treatment because of his extreme level of intoxication.

Police were called at 3:28 p.m. Wednesday to check on the boy, who witnesses said had fallen and struck his head. Mall security had moved the boy inside the entrance to the store, where officers found him sitting against a wall and so drunk he could not answer questions.

A medical unit arrived and paramedics also could not communicate with him, so he was sent to the hospital.

A witness pointed out a girl who had been with him before he fell but who had walked off and then returned after authorities arrived. Police interviewed the 13-year-old Wauwatosa girl, who said she had gone to a movie with the boy about 2 p.m. and that as soon as they sat down he brought out a 20-ounce water bottle and told her it was full of vodka.

She said she had one sip, but the boy drank the whole bottle in the course of 30 to 45 minutes and then began to act “annoying.” She left and he followed her, and she decided to leave him after he fell but returned when she saw mall security helping him.

The boy was given a citation at Children’s Hospital after medical staff treated and cleared him. He was released to his parents.

Wednesday

At 3:26 p.m., an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft at at Mayfair Mall after he was caught trying to steal a pair of jeans and two shirts. He was seen leaving a fitting room having put the jeans on under his own and but was allowed to leave the store. However, he soon returned and donned two shirts under his, and this time he was stopped outside the store.

At 8 a.m., a resident of the 7200 block of Grand Parkway reported that two unlocked vehicles in her driveway had been entered overnight and an iPhone, an FM transmitter, sunglasses and cash were stolen. At 9 a.m. a neighbor in the same block reported the same event but lost only some change from his car.

Tuesday

At 10:17 a.m., a resident of the 4000 block of North 93rd Street reported that some time since Dec. 21 someone had broken into his van and stolen more than $6,000 worth of tools while the van was parked in the back alley. The rear door lock had been broken to gain entry.

Monday

At 9:29 p.m., police responded to an alarm at a residence in the 8400 block of Ravenswood Circle and found that the back door had been pried open. No one was home at the time. An audible alarm went off when officers entered, which had also likely scared off the burglar. Nothing appeared to be disturbed in the home.

At 8:19 p.m., a 22-year-old Milwaukee woman who worked at in Mayfair Mall was arrested for disorderly conduct after she got into an argument with a customer and threw a bread stick at him. The customer had asked for a fresher order of bread sticks and she told him she had to serve the oldest ones first. After her supervisor told her to go home, she got into an argument with her and then attacked her, hitting and kicking her. The woman was fired from the pizza shop and banned from Mayfair Mall for five years.
