Police Reports: A Roundup of Recent Incidents of Crime

Theft, theft and more theft – and one case of disorderly conduct for taking a too-public bathroom break – round out the weekend's reports.

Sunday

At 6:11 p.m., a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for retail theft at , after he was caught trying to steal two 1.75-liter bottles of liquor. He was also recognized as having been in the store on Saturday and was seen in a review of store video stealing liquor then as well. He then admitted to having stolen candy and liquor each of the three preceding days, too.

At 2:53 p.m., a 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft after he was seen concealing a pair of sunglasses at the in . A police officer spotted him and stopped him a short distance away and found that in fact the suspect had three pairs of stolen sunglasses worth $890 retail.

At 4:27 p.m., a 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft and possession of marijuana after she was seen stealing merchandise at in Mayfair Mall and was stopped by police officers in the parking lot. She was found to have about $1,500 worth of stolen clothing and jewelry in her car, along with 8.35 grams of marijuana.

At 2 p.m., a 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for retail theft at Ragstock in Mayfair Mall after she was caught trying to steal a dress and a top by concealing them in a foil-lined bag. She was also found to have four more items taken earlier from the Zumiez store. She was cited for trespassing as well, as she had been banned from the mall for five years for a theft in November 2010.

Friday

At 8:58 p.m., a 37-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct after a resident spotted him urinating on some bushes near the bus stop at North 60th Street and West North Avenue.

At 7:30 p.m., police were called to Macy’s at Mayfair on a report that three unknown women had made purchases totaling more than $2,300 on a stolen credit card. Video review also showed one of them stealing a diamond stud earring valued at $1,100.

A resident of the 4600 block of North Parkside Drive reported that some time during the week her lawn mower had been stolen from an unlocked shed in her back yard.

At 1:47 p.m., a 51-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of stolen property after he tried to sell a set of golf clubs at , 10111 W. Capitol Dr., that had been reported stolen. Police tracked the man down at his home and found him with the golf clubs.

A Milwaukee man reported that some time between 9:45 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday someone smashed a window in his car while it was parked in the 7200 block of Hart Park Lane and stole his cell phone, stereo and a large sports bag containing baseball equipment.
