Police Reports: Tosa Officer Tases Naked, Bloody, Raving Suspect

At 7:28 p.m. Sunday, Wauwatosa police were called to assist Milwaukee police with a report of a naked man who had broken out a window in the area of West Wright Street and North 60st Street. Another caller in the vicinity reported hearing a woman screaming.

A Wauwatosa officer found the man as described, naked, covered in blood and holding a piece broken glass in his hand. He failed to follow the officer's instructions to drop the glass and get on the ground, and in fact appeared to threaten her. She fired her Taser him, demobilizing him, and turned him over to Milwaukee officers.

She said that while lying on the ground, the subject yelled something that sounded like “Chipotle!”

Milwaukee police were following up reports that the man had been seen earlier near North 55th Street and West Meinecke Avenue, where he had stripped off his clothes.

The report noted that contact had been made with a female victim in the incident but offered no details on what transpired or what her condition was.

Thursday

The manager of Solstice Sunglass Boutique at Mayfair Mall reported the theft of two pairs of sunglasses worth $150 each. He noticed them missing and reviewed video, which showed a man pocketing the sunglasses and walking out.

Wednesday

At 2:30 p.m., a 42-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested at Sentry Foods, 6700 W. State St., after he was seen concealing razors in the pockets of his coat. The man has been arrested several times at several Wauwatosa stores for the same offense, same merchandise, and Sentry managers said this was the fourth time in three weeks the man had stolen razors there – the first three unreported.

A Big Bend man reported that between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. someone broke into his car and stole his backpack while the car was parked at Hall Automotive, 11011 W. North Ave. Police found that some sort of tool had been slipped under the door handle, defeating the lock.

An employee of Mayfair Rent a Car, 1750 N. Mayfair Rd., reported as possibly stolen two rental cars that had not been returned before the agreements expired, one since it was due back Sept. 24, the other since Sept. 30.

A Wauwatosa woman reported that between 8:40 and 9:10 a.m., while she was at Wisconsin Athletic Club, 8900 Watertown Plank Road, someone smashed a window in her car and stole a leather shoulder bag along with an iPod, stethoscope and a reflex hammer. The bag and medical tools were found later at Hall Automotive during another car break-in call, and were returned to the owner, who had listed both the bag and the stethoscope as being of equal or greater value than the iPod, which remained missing.

Tuesday

A Wauwatosa woman reported that between 9 and 11:45 a.m. someone smashed a window in her car while she was at the West Suburban YMCA and stole her purse and wallet.

Sunday

A Wauwatosa girl, 17, reported that some time between 10 p.m., Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday, someone stole her iPhone while she was at a party at a friend’s house. She said she had plugged her phone into a stereo system to play music for the party, and when she decided to leave about 1, the phone was gone. When she asked if anyone knew where her phone was, someone told her a boy wearing a sweatshirt with the number 17 on it. Police interviewed the host, also a 17-year-old girl, who said that about 15 boys from both East or West high schools had been at the party, and that one of them told her the boy in the sweatshirt had said, “Hey, look, that dumb girl left her phone,” and then walked out with it.

Last Saturday

A Wauwatosa woman reported that between 3:30 and 5:15 p.m. someone broke into her car by smashing a window and stole her purse in the Hart Park parking lot while she was attending a football game.

At 4:45 p.m., a 16-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for theft at Mayfair Mall after she was seen taking several articles of clothing and bags into a fitting room at Abercrombie & Fitch, then coming out with one less item. She was stopped outside the mall and the article, a pink hoodie, was found hidden in a shoe box inside one of her bags. She had two prior arrests for retail theft.

A Wauwatosa woman reported that between 8 and 9 a.m. someone entered her unlocked minivan and stole her purse while she was parked in the lot east of the School District’s Fisher Building, 12121 W. North Ave., for a soccer game at Breitlow Field. She said she had forgotten to lock her vehicle.

Oct. 5

At 5:55 p.m., a 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft at Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Rd., after she was seen stuffing her purse full of travel-size personal care items, then stuffing her purse inside a new one from the store. She slung the new purse over her shoulder and tried to leave but was stopped by store security.

A resident of the 500 block of North 115th Street reported that overnight someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit. Nearby, a resident of the 600 block of North 115th Street lost change, and two residents of the 11400 block of West Wisconsin Avenue reported their cars had been entered, one losing two portable DVD players and the other a Pandora wireless adaptor.
