Police Seek Known Suspect in Tire-Iron Attack

Assailant escapes into park after brief high-speed chase and crash shortly after threatening his girlfriend at hotel and damaging her car.

Wauwatosa police were seeking a known suspect, a Milwaukee man, who tried to attack his girlfriend with a tire iron on April 1 at the Extended Stay America hotel, 12111 W. North Ave.

At 12:22 p.m., officers were called to the hotel because the man was shouting and threatening the victim through her guest room door while wielding a tire iron. It turned out he had already smashed out windows in her car with it.

He fled in a car just as police arrived, and a patrol officer spotted him on Mayfair Road and gave chase. The suspect got onto Hwy. 45 heading north and reached speeds of over 80 miles per hour before getting off at Capitol Drive.
